OUTLIER ONE (Single, 2022) the feature track of a future EP, explores the idea that we are an extraordinary anomaly in the visible universe. We comb through the data relentlessly, but the outlier we’re seeking…is us. The dark, spooky ambience reimagines our own species as alien life.

INTERFERENCE PATTERNS (EP, 2022) refers to the idea that our world is under constant influence from unreachable forces that shape our lives in profound but incomprehensible ways. A famous scientific example is found in the double-slit interference pattern experiment, which exposes the nature of quantum mechanics and hints at the existence of infinite parallel universes. The concept seems to scale upward to what we experience as paradoxes between reality and consciousness or improbable turns of fate.

The album cover art, realized by Lumii Design, attempts to illustrate this concept literally and metaphorically. The style is a nod to the gorgeous concept art we stared at while listening to ever more mind-bending LP’s from the late 60’s through mid-80’s as technology and art became inextricably entangled.

BROKEN FOR YOU is the closing track from the Interference Patterns EP. The title is derived from the movie Ink (2009), from which several audio samples can be heard.

UNTIL WE’RE SWALLOWED BY THE SUN (Single, 2022) evokes the miracle of self-awareness juxtaposed with the tragedy of mortality (come to think of it, this more or less describes all art…) That anything so magical and boundless can be tethered to such abiding fragility - from the tiniest cells to the planet itself - is an endless fascination and inspiration.

TOGETHER (Single, 2022) is an epic, emotional 8-minute ride inspired by waking from one of those stunningly realistic dreams about being reunited with a loved one who has passed - ghostly and melancholic on one hand, profound and energizing on the other - and hopefully reflected that way in the ethereal guitar and synth textures. A rare track that just poured out and basically wrote itself. Direct influences include David Helpling, Mike Oldfield, Ulrich Schnauss, Erik Wøllo, and Carbon Based Lifeforms.
